You know who you are, and you know what for:
Thank you.
I know who some of you are and can guess at others, but I'm not sure, and I guess that's the point. This means more than the gift alone - it's also the re-affirmation of the sense of community that makes Lamma so special to me.Curing cancer isn't just about the drugs and the diet - it has a lot to do with the state of mind in which I approach it. Knowing that I live among people who care about me and are willing to show it is hugely important. And it's not just money - a smile, a hug, a joke, a book or a text message. Anything that makes me smile helps.
I've got some scary times coming up in the next few months and the more positive thoughts and memories I have to take into the hospital with me the sooner I'll be walking out again, and the better state I'll be in when I do.
My friends, again, thank you.
